More medals and success at Shrewsbury Regatta

The Boat Club sent four crews to compete at Shrewsbury Regatta this weekend. With the course being only 500m, this was fun and fast event for the athletes.  

Our boys J15 quad kicked things on with an impressive win in the final. Putting several lengths against their opposition to secure the win – well done boys! Following this the boys J14 quad progressed smoothly through two rounds to make it to the final. Unfortunately, despite a strong row the boys were pipped to the line by their opposition. 

In the afternoon, the J16 boys double took to the water along with the girls J15 quad. The boys came up against strong opposition in the first round and despite a solid race, did not proceed to the final.  The girls were neck and neck in their final, fighting with every stroke but unfortunately lost by only a few feet.
